Western Europe Printer Market Shipment Report for the Third Quarter of 2022

In the third quarter of 2022, the Western European printer market shipped 3.8 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 6.7%. According to IDC data, the shipment value in the quarter increased by 7.2% year-on-year to $1.935 billion.

In the quarter, local shipments of inkjet equipment fell by 13.92%, of which consumer equipment shrank by 13.7% year-on-year, and commercial equipment fell by 15.2% year-on-year. Shipments of laser equipment increased by 14.9% year-on-year. Color equipment shipments increased by 12.9% year-on-year, while monochrome equipment shipments increased by 16.2%.

In terms of brands, HP still maintains its overall market leadership with a market share of 38.0%. Canon is one of the better-performing companies, with strong growth in year-on-year shipments, especially in the inkjet field, accounting for 23.9% of the market share.
